Drew co-founded Gauge Capital, and works primarily in the firm’s healthcare and consumer verticals. Drew serves as a Director of Wireless Vision, Beauty Industry Group, Miami Beach Medical Group, Pediatric Dental Providers, Comprehensive EyeCare Partners, and American Nuts, and is a former Director of Veridicus Health. Previously, Drew co-founded and was Managing Partner at CIC Partners, where he worked for 16 years, primarily in the food and healthcare industries, and where he served as a Director of SPG, Innerchange, CTI Foods, Quiznos, Combs Produce, OmniSYS, and Industrial Container Services. Earlier in his career, Drew worked at McKinsey & Co., with a focus on healthcare. Drew also serves on the National Advisory Council for BYU’s Marriott School of Management. Drew obtained his MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brigham Young University.
Tom co-founded Gauge Capital and leads the firm’s business and consumer services vertical. Previously, Tom spent over 25 years leading, advising and investing in high growth enterprises. Most recently, he was with Symphony Technology Group, a leading private equity firm focused on technology and services investments, and led one of their portfolio companies through a highly successful turnaround and exit. Tom began his career at KPMG, where he spent 16 years and served as Managing Partner for Banking, Insurance & Investment Services and subsequently Technology, Communications & Media advisory businesses. Tom currently serves on the boards of Infosoft, Teachers of Tomorrow, eDynamic Learning, TVC Pro-Driver, irth Solutions, Schlesinger Group, and Concept3D, and formerly served as a Director for several other companies. Tom received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Oklahoma State University and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
After 30 plus years of executive leadership experience with some of the nation’s largest health systems, health plans, and physician’s groups, Stan joined Gauge to help lead the firm’s healthcare investments. He serves as Executive Chairman of Comprehensive Eyecare Partners and as a Director of Miami Beach Medical Group. Prior to joining Gauge, Stan served as an operating partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe (“WCAS”). Prior to WCAS, Stan was an Executive Vice President for Optum, responsible for over $10 billion in Physician Services, Post Acute-care, and Specialty Network Businesses. He joined Optum following 16 years in executive leadership roles with Texas Health Resources (THR) and Allina Health System. At THR, Stan led the creation of a physician strategy that drove the formation of one of the state’s largest physician’s groups, and created one of the first Pioneer Accountable Care Organizations (“ACO”). Stan also served as a Market CEO for Phycor/NAMM and Anthem Health Plan/Arcadia Benefits of Florida. Stan earned a BS degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green University and a Masters of Business Administration from Rivier College.
David is a Principal at Gauge Capital. His responsibilities include identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, deal execution and portfolio company monitoring. He serves as a Director for Comprehensive EyeCare. Prior to joining Gauge, David worked at Silver Oak Services Partners where he led several investments in the healthcare services and business services sectors and was a Director for six investments. Previously, David worked at Bain & Co. and started his career in investment banking at Keybanc Capital Markets and Houlihan Lokey. David received his MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from Ohio University
James is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, deal execution and portfolio company monitoring. James serves as a Director for Infosoft, TVC Enterprises, and Schlesinger Group. He previously served as a Director for Teachers of Tomorrow, eDynamic Learning and Beauty Industry Group. Prior to joining Gauge, James worked at Insight Equity, where he led several investments in the industrial services space and served as a Director of Precision Holdings. Previously, James worked at Audax Group, a middle-market focused investment firm where he completed investments in the business services, healthcare, and industrial services industries. Earlier in his career, James worked at McKinsey & Company. James received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his bachelor’s degree in economics from Brigham Young University.
Andrew leads Gauge Capital’s business development efforts. He focuses on deal origination and developing intermediary relationships. Prior to joining Gauge, Andrew was a Managing Director, Head of Business Development, at Serent Capital. Previously, Andrew was a Director of Business Development at Riverside Partners, where he sourced a number of investment opportunities in the healthcare and technology sectors. Earlier in his career, Andrew worked for General Electric Capital in the Global Sponsor Finance group, which provides debt for private equity-backed transactions. Andrew has an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and a BA in economics from Boston University.
Sam is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, deal execution and portfolio company monitoring. Sam serves as a Director of Pediatric Dental Providers and American Nuts. Prior to joining Gauge, Sam was an Associate at Charlesbank Capital Partners, where he completed middle market private equity investments in the business services and consumer services industries. Earlier in his career, Sam worked at Bain & Company in both the Dallas and Houston offices, assisting clients in the energy, technology, and transportation sectors. Sam received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his bachelor’s degree in both chemical engineering and managerial studies from Rice University.
Reid is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, deal execution and portfolio company monitoring. Reid currently serves on the boards of TVC Pro-Driver and irth Solutions. Prior to joining Gauge, Reid was an Associate at the Carlyle Group. Earlier in his career, Reid worked in the investment banking division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity offerings for clients. Reid received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University.
Shawn is a Vice President at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, deal origination and developing intermediary relationships. Prior to joining Gauge, Shawn was a Business Development Associate at LLR Partners in Philadelphia, where he identified and evaluated new investment opportunities across the Software & Technology, Healthcare, Financial Services, Education and Security teams. Previously, Shawn worked in Business Development for Altran, a global technology consulting firm. Shawn received a bachelor’s degree in media studies from Penn State University.
Tristan is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, deal execution and portfolio company monitoring. Prior to joining Gauge, Tristan was a Senior Associate at Stone Arch Capital, where he focused on middle market private equity investments in the industrials, business services and consumer products industries. Earlier in his career, Tristan worked in the investment banking division at Lazard, where he focused on leveraged buyouts and mergers and acquisitions. Tristan received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his bachelor’s degree in economics from Macalester College.
Sam is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, deal execution and portfolio company monitoring. Sam serves as a Director of eDynamic Learning, Teachers of Tomorrow, and Schlesinger Group. Prior to attending business school, Sam was a Senior Associate at Gauge. Earlier in his career, Sam worked as an Analyst in the investment banking division of RBC Capital Markets in New York where he focused on leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, and debt offerings for clients in the business services, automotive, and transportation sectors. Sam received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Baylor University.
Wes is an Associate at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, executing investments and supporting portfolio company management teams. Prior to joining Gauge, Wes was an Analyst at William Blair in Chicago, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions for clients in the business services, distribution and logistics, and industrial sectors. Wes received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from The University of Mississippi.
Alex is an Associate at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, executing investments and supporting portfolio company management teams. Prior to joining Gauge, Alex worked at Robert W. Baird in Chicago, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions for clients in the technology and business services sectors. Alex graduated from Baylor University where he received his bachelor’s degrees in finance and marketing.
Ryan is an Associate at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, deal origination and developing intermediary relationships. Prior to joining Gauge, Ryan was a portfolio management associate at LStar Capital, the corporate debt affiliate of Lone Star Funds. He began his career as a corporate strategy analyst at American Airlines. Ryan received his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
Santiago is an Associate at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, executing investments, and supporting portfolio company management teams. Prior to joining Gauge, Santiago was an investment banking analyst and then associate at Morgan Stanley in New York City where he focused on M&A and capital raising transactions across industries, with a particular focus on the consumer, commercial real estate, retail and building materials sectors in Latin America. Santiago graduated from Stanford University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in Economics.
Sagar is an Associate at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, executing investments and supporting portfolio company management teams. Prior to joining Gauge, Sagar worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Deloitte Corporate Finance in Charlotte, NC, where he focused on M&A and capital raising transactions for clients across a variety of industries. Sagar graduated from the University of North Carolina where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Alex is an Associate at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, executing investments, and supporting portfolio company management teams. Prior to joining Gauge, Alex was an Associate and then a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, serving clients across various industries including consumer, retail, and technology. Alex graduated from Duke University where he received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a certificate in markets and management studies.
Patrick is an Associate at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, executing investments and supporting portfolio company management teams. Prior to joining Gauge, Patrick was an investment banking analyst at Jefferies in New York City where he focused on M&A and capital raising transactions in the industrials sector. Patrick graduated from the University of Kansas where he received bachelor’s degrees in finance and accounting.
Ryan is an Associate at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, executing investments and supporting portfolio company management teams. Prior to joining Gauge, Ryan worked as an Analyst at MHT Partners in San Francisco, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions for clients in the consumer and business services sectors. Ryan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where he received his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies.
Alexander is an Analyst at Gauge Capital and is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, deal origination and developing intermediary relationships. Prior to joining Gauge, Alexander worked in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs. He began his career in the Institutional Sales & Service Division at Fisher Investments. Alexander received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Economics and Business from the University of Oklahoma.
John is responsible for all financial aspects of the firm and its affiliates. Prior to joining Gauge Capital, John spent 9 years with Texas Pacific Group (TPG), a leading global private investment firm with more than $55 billion of capital under management. At TPG, John was the Senior Director of Fund Accounting, leading a large group of professionals supporting the external reporting function to Limited Partners for multiple investment strategies. Earlier in his career, John held positions with Goldman Sachs (Archon Group) in New York with their finance and accounting department, as well as with KPMG, serving clients in the private equity industry. John received a BBA degree with a double major in accounting and finance from Abilene Christian University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Megan is responsible for the financial statements, partner statements, and related reporting for all Gauge investments, as well as other financial aspects involving the firm and its affiliates. Prior to joining Gauge Capital, Megan spent 5 years with Goldman Sachs Group, Inc (GS). At GS, Megan was a Vice President in the Finance Division focused on fund accounting and reporting for the firm’s private equity funds. Earlier in her career, Megan was an Audit Senior Manager at KPMG. Megan earned a BBA degree in accounting and finance from Baylor University and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.
Bria Sneed is responsible for assisting with the accounting aspects of the firm, including financial statement and partner capital statement preparation as well as related reporting for various Gauge investments. Prior to joining Gauge Capital, Bria spent 4 years working for XTO Energy, a wholly owned ExxonMobil subsidiary. Bria earned a BBA degree in Accounting as well as a Master of Accountancy from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.
